Soaring Crane Qigong Instruction

As lineage holder, Teri Applegate is uniquely qualified to teach all levels of Soaring Crane Qigong instruction, including teacher training. Most of her classes are taught in a weekend workshop format, enabling students living outside the Seattle area to travel to attend. Teri also teaches a Thursday morning class called Spirit of Qigong & More, and in the warmer months, provides corrections to all levels of students during a weekly practice in the park.

Workshops

Level I Soaring Crane Qigong

In this two-day workshop, participants learn the Five Routines, two Remedy Routines for cleansing and healing, and a restful lying down qigong mediation. The Five Routines embody the essential techniques of Chinese Soaring Crane Qigong which open the acupoints, clear the meridians, and develop the power of the mind to guide the qi.

The two Remedy Routines offered are Liver Cleansing, which clears diseased qi from the body through the Liver channel, and the Tonification Stance for building qi. Participants will enjoy a qigong nap with a lying down qigong meditation that benefits health.

When: October 1st & 2nd, 2011, Seattle

Level II Soaring Crane Qigong

In this two-day workshop, practitioners will deepen their practice in the Five Routines as their movements are refined and their ability to calm the mind is improved.

Regarded as the highlight of the Soaring Crane Qigong system, the Standing Meditation becomes a key component of this level of practice. The channels are cleansed through the relaxed spontaneous movements. A Sitting Meditation is also taught, a special offering for practitioners of Soaring Crane Qigong.

Additionally, two Remedy Routines will provide students a means to adjust their qi. One routine is for bringing qi down from the head, and the second to focus on collecting qi into Tian-mu.

When: January 21st & 22nd, 2012, Seattle, WA
TBA Penticton, BC
Prerequisites: Participants have completed Level I training with a certified Level I instructor, and have since practiced the Five Routines of Soaring Crane Qigong for at least 50 hours following instruction.
