About Teri Applegate
Teri Applegate is a Licensed Acupuncturist and lineage holder of Soaring Crane Qigong. With private practices in the Greenlake area, her focus is on harmony of body, mind and spirit by assisting people living with chronic illness to have an improved state of health and quality of life.
Teri has a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). During her studies in China, she interned at the Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the departments of acupuncture and tumor herbal medicines.
For over nine years, Teri has offered qigong classes for those with critical and chronic illness, combining qigong theories and Chinese medicine principles. She started qigong programs at two Providence hospitals in Portland, Oregon, teaching there for five years.
Certified as a qigong instructor at OCOM, Teri has studied with several qigong masters during her many trips to China. As a lineage holder in Soaring Crane Qigong, Teri trains and certifies teachers in all levels of the form. Along with four other Americans, she completed three years of training with Master Wang, Zhe zhang to become a holder of his family's 400 year old lineage, Turtle Longevity Qigong.
Teri instructs those living with chronic illness at Cancer Lifeline in Seattle. She teaches weekend intensive workshops in Soaring Crane Qigong, Essence Qigong, Awakening Light Gong, Super Energy Clapping Hands, and Turtle Longevity Qigong . Additionally, her classes have been offered at Everett's Providence Cancer Center, Tian Tian School of Qigong, Bastyr University, and the University of Washington Women's Center in Seattle.
